We just got done grooming the south shore trail up to redfield from altmar. There's 1 or 2 minor waterholes but nothing bad at all. The trails are in the best shape I've seen all year. There is some ice In the corners not as bad as last weekend tho. I only passed maybe 20 sleds in 5 hours. There is plenty of snow over altmar to redfield area etc..

45 grooming hours. 0 sled miles.

I can't speak for the actual trailconditions, however the trail from the grist mill to Happy Valley isn't open due to National Grid closing their land. So I would say at least park in happy valley or williamstown, or up in redfield. Good luck.

Actually the trail from the Grist Mill to Happy Valley has been re-opened. The conditions may be sketchy at this point, but at least we have the trail back.

Great news! One of my favorite spots to go for breakfast on the trail!

    Default Trails Open

All our trails will be opened today and groomers will be out later this afternoon. Help the club clean up any trails that you might find any debris on. Be safe out there as trails could be icy.

Default All Kasoag Trails are Open effective Saturday 1-28-17

Our trails have Re-Opened after 10 days closure due to warm temps and rain! Stay on the trails, watch for water holes! There are more than likely limbs or branches down in some areas due to ice and windy conditions, so use caution. It would be a great help if you could stop and pick up any debris on the trails to help the club and the next rider coming through. Groomers will be out later today, tonight and throughout the weekend to get our trails back into tip top shape! Reduce speed and ride safe! I suspect there are waterholes back on the C5 trail on the South Shore Trail at the Redfield Reservoir, I would suggest using Trail C4 to Redfield. We will give an update when we get up there with the groomer.
Important: Please stay on the trails. They are well marked! Do not jump out onto open fields...our Amish Friends who permit us to use their lands for trails do not want sleds straying on their land! They have equipment stored out there and barb wire fencing which you do not want to get tangled up in! DO NOT go into the Cranberry Fields along County Route 30 located near the Amish Farms, if you do, you will be riding on County Route 30 all the way to Kasoag Lake if they shut the trail down. Other farms in the Williamstown area have drainage ditches, equipment stored, etc. Stay on the Trails and off Landowners fields, they are well marked!!

Enjoy this weekend, stay right and be careful out there!
