We give each of or landowners two vouchers to use at a monthly Pancake Breakfast at our local legion. It doesn't should like much but we have over 80 landowners so that's over 160 vouchers.

We use to give them a big ham before we had what we have now,a lot of driving around. Now that we have a full kitchen in our meeting room we do a spaghetti dinner.

The Pine Tree and Brantingham Snomads puts on a landowner and volunteer appreciation dinner. Typically we don't get many landowners but Scottie (owner of the Pine Tree) is sending out gift certificates to the landowners.

A lot of Brantingham trail mileage is on state land but there would be no contiguous trail system without the cooperation of landowners. The route between Tug Hill/Black River Valley and Stillwater/Old Forge would not exist without those trails on private land. Too many trail users just don't understand.

I wish you would come to meetings and workdays. Then you would get some correct information.
Redfield hasn't done a landowner dinner in 4 or 5 years.
We used to do it at the hotel before it burned. Did a couple at MRC clubhouse, but attendance was poor, so we started doing gift cards so everyone got something even if they might not have come to a dinner.

Landowner count is 50 plus or minus as some own multiple parcels.

What you may have heard of is an appreciation luncheon which has been put together primarily thru the generous yearly donation and request of one club member the last several years. This member has stayed in the area over the years, and wanted to do something for the volunteers who make the trails he enjoys possible that are usually working every other club event he goes to. What a great way to show his appreciation!

That may have been it from what donna said she must have misinterpreted it. And I can't make meetings they are on weeks I'm not usually up i havent been up in a while n prob wont be up for a bit. It's my busy time of year at work. And usually work days fall on weeks I'm not there or if I am there i have other priorities that have to be handled round Camp. My summer time there is limited.
