Does not make too much sense. We have an activity that contributes over $800 million to the state economy, totally run by volunteers. The state contributes 3 positions in Parks. Then the state does what it can to make the jobs of these volunteers harder every year.

So in your world you would get poked in both eyes or none?
Discussion, negotiation and comprimise don't seem to fit your M.O.

Question is this who got appointed...?

Is this who got appointed..? Or.... was she already in OPRHP..?

Rose Harvey, Commissioner of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said, "With the support of Governor Cuomo, more and more people are discovering how much New York has to offer to outdoor winter recreation enthusiasts. State Parks looks forward to working with our partners this season to keep the trail system safe, groomed and well-maintained for residents and visitors alike who enjoy our State's many winter destinations."

I hate these kind of announcements, makes it sound like the state is providing money to promote snowmobiling and tourism. All the money is from snowmobilers, not from all taxpayers like is normally the case when the state spends money on ski areas and the like. To me it would make a lot of people ask why is the state spending my money on snowmobiles, I don't even like those things..... Yes it says in the body that the money is from snowmobile registrations but many only read the headline...
