Default 2014 800r etec with a burnt piston

Thinking about fixing this but not sure why it happened is holding me back a bit. Worked on the top ends of the older 600 and 800's without issues. Any thoughts or experience with these using stock parts versus aftermarket and better places to buy etc...... and DIY information would be appreciated. Also need to consider who might give the best service if i decide to have it fixed
    Thanks

Take it to mountain extreme in rockton. They will put a weisco rebuild kit in it. Did mine and was very satisfied with the price.

Hey Thanks for the information Seth. Did you have a similar issue or was it just preventative maintenance?

It was preventive in the sense that I had 5000 miles on it and it was getting harder to start so I figured it should have the top end done.
