Default Saturday March 10 Pharsalia to Deruyter and back

11 of us met at the Prison Parking Lot at 9am. Took a run down 9 mile CCC Trail to start, still hard and fast, with 4 inches of fresh snow. Crossed 23, to Otselic was still nice from grooming. Crossed 26 before Georgetown up to Muller Mountain and found 10 inches of fresh snow up there. Continuing towards Deruyter, found an old Indy buried in one monster of a mud hole, look close in pic, it's covered with snow. Stopped for a pic at the spaceship. Stopped for a pic at top of hill looking down into Deruyter valley, groomed nice. Had a great meal at Shelly's in Deruyter, first time there, will be back. Headed back south and took a pic at Hot Dog Corners, not sure when Trail Hounds last groomed, was holding up well. Back to North road, and half of us had to run 9 mile for last pull of the day, straights still fab, corners starting to get choppy from heavy traffic. 100 miles with some new and old friends, new riders, young riders, old fat guy riders, fun for everyone. 1600 foot and above is fantastic winter wonderland, coming down from that elevation to valleys and roads all burning off fast. Better get your rides in, spring summer and fall is a long time to wait. Mark

Sure, line to the right barely got sled wet. 11 sleds went past, and half of us didn't even see the buried sled, concentrating on getting through without getting stuck. Mark

    Question

I heard the Tully Trail Blazers are NOT grooming. Can anyone recommend a spot East of Tully to drop?

Toggenburg ski area about 10 miles east of Tully I-81 exit; lots of room for trailers, great restaurant too.
